Assisted Living MagazineIs This the Right Kind of Care?
Every family reaches a point where love alone is not enough. If any of the following sounds familiar, we may be the right fit — and we welcome a conversation to find out.
- ✓Your loved one needs more help than the family can safely provide at home.
- ✓Their medical needs are changing and require consistent clinical oversight.
- ✓They need ongoing supervision or daily assistance with personal care.
- ✓There have been recent health changes, falls, or hospital visits.
- ✓They would benefit from a smaller, more personal environment than a large facility.
We are not the right fit for everyone, and we will always be honest with you about that. Reach out to speak with our care team — no pressure, no obligation.

What Makes Our Care Different
We are not a large facility. We are a home — and that changes everything about how care is delivered.
Intimate Home Environment
Our residents live in a real home, not a facility. That means familiar rhythms, personal attention, and a genuine sense of belonging.
Hands-On Clinical Leadership
A Masters-Prepared RN with nearly four decades of experience leads our care model. Clinical decisions are made by someone who knows your loved one personally.
Personalized, Not Standardized
No two residents are the same. We build care around the individual — their history, their preferences, their needs.
Prevention-Focused Attention
We watch closely for early signs of change. Acting early keeps residents healthier and reduces unnecessary hospitalizations.
Faith-Based Foundation
Our care is rooted in Christian faith — love, joy, and the spirit of excellence in everything we do. Bible study and prayer are part of our home life.
Family-Centered Communication
We keep families informed and involved. You will always have someone to call and someone who knows your loved one by name.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is a good fit for this care model?
We serve seniors who need more support than family can safely provide at home — including those with complex medical needs, changing health conditions, or a need for consistent daily supervision. We are a small, intimate home, not a large facility, so we are selective about fit. We encourage families to reach out so we can have an honest conversation about whether we are the right match.
What services are provided?
We provide long-term residential care with RN-directed oversight, medication management, wound care, diabetic management, specialized nutrition, PEG-tube care, IV antibiotics when appropriate and permitted, early detection and prevention, 24/7 caregiver presence, personal care assistance, family communication, resident activities, and faith-based support when desired.
How does RN-directed care work?
Our care is led by a Masters-Prepared RN with nearly four decades of clinical experience. She oversees each resident's care plan, monitors health changes, coordinates with physicians, and ensures that clinical decisions are made by someone who knows your loved one personally — not by a rotating staff member who has never met them.
What is the caregiver-to-resident ratio?
We maintain a 1-caregiver-to-3-resident ratio. This is a deliberate pillar of our care model. Higher staffing means more time with each resident, earlier detection of changes, and better overall outcomes.
Are private tours available?
Yes. We welcome families for private tours Monday through Saturday, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Other times are available by appointment. Call or text 757-279-7091 to schedule.
Which locations are currently operating?
Our primary home is located at 1113 North Battlefield Boulevard in Chesapeake, VA. We also have trusted sister locations serving Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and the Churchland area of Portsmouth. Please contact us to ask about availability at a specific location.
What should a family bring to a care consultation?
It helps to bring a summary of your loved one's current medical conditions, a list of medications, any recent hospital discharge paperwork, and a list of your questions. Most importantly, bring your loved one if they are able — we want to meet them. There is no formal paperwork required for an initial visit.
How does the admission or move-in process work?
Every admission begins with a conversation. We learn about your loved one's needs, assess whether we are the right fit, and walk you through next steps. Please contact our care team directly to discuss the process for your specific situation.
What about pricing, insurance, Medicaid, or veterans benefits?
We understand that cost and coverage are important parts of this decision. Please contact our care team directly to discuss financial questions. We want to make sure you have accurate, honest information for your specific situation.
Let's Talk About the Care Your Loved One Needs
You do not have to figure this out alone. Our care team is here to answer your questions, walk you through what we offer, and help you decide if we are the right fit — with no pressure and no obligation.
