Masters-Prepared RN Directed Care including:
We understand that no two Residents are the same!
In a recent case, we had a resident's O2 level drop below 95%. This resident is normally above 98%, so we called their doctor, and their doctor suggested we just continue to monitor them.
We said no!
Being below 95% was not normal for this resident, so we brought them to their doctor for a check up: they found a small spot of pneumonia. At this very early stage, it was a smooth process to combat it and bring our resident back to health, and back home, quickly.
Preventing rehospitalization and increasing quality of life is our medical objective, and it is infused in everything we do.
In every industry, there are outside sources who are responsible for providing an unbiased perspective on what we do well and what needs improvement. Not only does that include the elder care industry, but we are held to a higher standard because we care for one of the most vulnerable populations!
Doing a quick google search will reveal one of the main challenges in our industry: low staffing ratios. Most reports find that the biggest factor affecting overall quality of care hinges on this 1 thing! Low staff to resident ratios, or average care hours, means that each caregiver has more to do, and less time to do it. This leads to more burnout, turnover and many of the worries which keep families up at night.
Intuitively we recognized this, and since our inception this has been a pillar of our business: Higher average care hours = Better care!
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law"- Galatians 5:22-23
Our faith-based approach is the foundation of our care. We know that, as people, our spiritual wellbeing is as important as our physical, and ignoring this has consequences. Therefore, regular bible studies and praying for, and over, our residents in Jesus' name is commonplace in our homes. It also keeps us accountable, not just to families and residents, but to God.
We exhibit love, joy and the spirit of excellence in everything we do.
"Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."- Galatians 6:2
"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a person sows, that will they also reap."- Galatians 6:7
